This is an artistic translation of a traditional style. Like all Morris Chairs, this one has wide arms and an adjustable back. Bent laminations and curvilinear profiles make this chair unique. The chair is available in most woods. Curly Ash with Ebony contrasting accents and hunter green cushions is shown here. Accents in a contrasting wood are placed in several important spots. Large lozenges on the top of the arms have a gentle swell, providing a very tactile detail. A small button on each side rail caps the structural steel at the base of the chair back. |
