The wood used in this cupboard was sawn over 100 years ago and recently recovered from a building nearby. The natural oxidation of so many years has produced a color that cannot be imitated by staining new wood.
Of traditional chimney cupboard style, this piece features a tombstone top and handmade strap hinges and latch. Four adjustable shelves made of traditional Tulip Poplar, three visible and one inside the closed cabinet add to the versatility of this jelly cupboard. It is at home in the kitchen, pantry den or living room. This cupboard is 77" tall x 30" wide x 14" deep. The antique wood is rustic in character, with some worm holes and knots. |
