Quartersawn sycamore is the wood used, with an attractive grain pattern that wears well in use. Bob Hoffa used a food-safe finish for this cutting or bread board. Sturdy non-marring, no skid feet are securely screwed into place.
Ergonomic Features
The board stands 1 1/2" off the table and has steep undercuts. You can easily scrape all the food into your hand or onto a plate, eliminating waste and making the cook's job easier.
Another important feature is the finger groove cut into the short ends of the board. This provides for better gripping, especially for smaller or weaker hands.
